Queens Art Express Festival celebrates art along the borough’s transit line.
Queens Art Express (QAX) is a borough-wide multi-media art exhibition held each year in June. Events are clustered at 100 venues (galleries, museums, theaters, parks, and local businesses) located along the seven-mile route of the “International Express” #7 train and by extension the N and R train lines. Over 25,000 take part in QAX, and it reaches audiences city-wide in New York. Queens Council on the Arts is committed to fostering the arts in Queens County by presenting its cultural diversity for the benefit of the community. To get a taste of the 2011 QAX, watch this:
