The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit has begun the imagining process for a facility renovation and site overhaul. The museum recently engaged the team of Rice+Lipka and James Corner Field Operations, and hopes to complete the planning process this summer with construction to occur in 2013. Collaborators in the facilities project range from funders such as ArtPlace and LINC/Ford Foundation to community stakeholders such as Midtown, Inc. (another ArtPlace fundee).

MOCAD has launched a video e-newsletter to give its audience the latest information on what's going on at the museum. This edition talks about the reopening of the museum's cafe, talks about upcoming events and includes footage of the opening of the Joshua White and Gary Panter Light Show exhibition.
