The Design Matters Toolkit was developed from learnings and research stemming from Enterprise's Affordable Housing Design Leadership Institute. Through interviews with developers, funders, architects and policy members, they identified key practices to yield a more people-focused development process that produces better projects for residents and communities.

A new action guide offers research insights and lessons learned from states that are harnessing the power of the arts to drive rural prosperity. Produced by the National Governors Association (NGA) Center for Best Practices, the guide offers creative policy solutions that draw on home-grown arts and cultural assets to address the urgent problems facing rural America.

As a first step in establishing a framework and priorities, the Integrated Rural Strategies Group commissioned a scan of rural organizing work. From this scan, the group has gained literacy in the organizing work already taking place and further defined the group’s role and intended impact in the landscape of rural organizing. Capturing the voices of organizers on the ground, the scan identified the following priorities: infrastructure and capacity, strategizing for impact, and anti-racist organizing.

CULTURAL COMMUNITY BENEFITS PRINCIPLES TOOLKIT
The Cultural Community Benefits Principles Toolkit was collaboratively developed by ArtChangeUS with Detroit cultural organizers based on their ongoing efforts to seek accountability, through community benefits agreements, from private developers who receive public support for large-scale development projects. ArtChangeUS and its Core Partners are sharing this toolkit with the wider cultural sector to provide a values-driven and pragmatic approach to shifting our field’s institutional practices while building equitable relationships.
