Call for Field Scan Research: Housing, Public Health, and Public Safety

June 25, 2015

By: Jamie Hand, Director of Research Strategies

Calling all cross-disciplinary researchers!

Today marks ArtPlace's second open call for research consultants. We currently seek to commission three “field scans” that document and explore the relationship between arts and culture and the following community development sectors: Housing, Public Health, and Public Safety

Check out the full Call for Research Consultants for detailed information about the opportunity and instructions on how to apply. Submissions are due Thursday, August 6, 2015, and scans are expected to begin on September 1 and be completed by November 17, 2015.

If you haven’t already taken a peek at the Community Development Matrix that we’re using as a guiding frame for our work here at ArtPlace, have a look and let us know what you think.* Note that this solicitation is the first of several that ArtPlace is issuing for the purpose of field scan research; opportunities to address additional community development sectors will be announced in 2016 and 2017.

Please feel free to share this research opportunity far and wide. We are eager to continue building our institutional knowledge in these three sectors and welcome inquiries and introductions in the coming months.

* Affectionately referred to by some of our colleagues as the “creative placemaking bingo card.”
