VOICES FROM THE FIELD: RURAL ORGANIZERS ON WHAT THEY NEED FROM FUNDERS
As a first step in establishing a framework and priorities, the Integrated Rural Strategies Group commissioned a scan of rural organizing work. From this scan, the group has gained literacy in the organizing work already taking place and further defined the group’s role and intended impact in the landscape of rural organizing. Capturing the voices of organizers on the ground, the scan identified the following priorities: infrastructure and capacity, strategizing for impact, and anti-racist organizing.

NACEDA

NACEDA
A network of state and regional associations partner with NACEDA to offer creative placemaking community development introduction material using examples of ‘on the ground’ work. In late 2019, they will begin offering training on creative placemaking public policy as it relates to community development. NACEDA’s fee-based training can be customized and is offered remotely and in person in Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Ohio and New Jersey.

NCCP

NATIONAL CONSORTIUM FOR CREATIVE PLACEMAKING
NCCP's spectrum of learning opportunities for individuals includes webinars, workshops, Leadership Summits, a Certificate in Creative Placemaking. Our place-based educational offerings are one-day Strategy Labs and 6-9-month Community Coaching. Some training is free, some fee based. The on-site portions of the Certificate are held in Manchester and northern New Jersey and workshops are held in Orange, NJ and Philadelphia. Webinars are also available.

Plan F Solutions

PLAN F SOLUTIONS
Assisting with the real estate development process for arts-based economic development as well as permanent creative placemaking activities. This fee-based training is customizable, open to communities across the U.S and is offered in person and remotely.

Springboard for the Arts

SPRINGBOARD FOR THE ARTS
Springboard offers free toolkits, consulting services, workshops and trainings, working directly with over 35,000 artists and community members in the region each year with 80 communities nationwide replicating their programs. Find artist-led community development programs and practices, with programs specifically for artists, and programs designed for non-arts professionals. All training is customizable and offered in person and remotely.

Project for Public Spaces

PROJECT FOR PUBLIC SPACES
From ‘what is placemaking to how to implement projects, manage public spaces, engage community members, work with stakeholders. Topics also include transportation, public market design planning and operations, gentrification impacts, how to measure outcomes and evaluate impacts. Based in New York City and offering customizable training and technical assistance all over the world in person and remotely.
