2013 ArtPlace Grant Guidelines

ArtPlace invites Letters of Inquiry from initiatives involving arts organizations, artists and designers working in partnership with local and national partners to produce a transformative impact on community vibrancy.

This video will help guide you through the application process:

ArtPlace believes that art, culture and creativity expressed powerfully through place can create vibrant communities, thus increasing the desire and the economic opportunity for people to thrive in place. It is all about the local.

Applications are encouraged from all 50 states and U.S. territories, and ArtPlace funds in communities across the country. Certain ArtPlace funders have a deep commitment to their local communities and have provided funding for specific states or communities.  Currently, these include: Akron, Charlotte, Detroit, Macon, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, San Jose, and St. Paul, as well as communities in Alaska, Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Wisconsin. Therefore, we particularly invite projects in these areas, although applications are welcome and grants are awarded to projects from all across the US. We continue to expand our funding with the goal of supporting the broadest possible geographic array of communities. Applications for performing arts and Native and folk arts are also encouraged.

If you wish to apply for an ArtPlace grant or seek financing through the ArtPlace loan fund, please review the guidelines in full.
