10+1 pt. 3

This December Trey McIntyre Project is excited to be involved in an enormous collaborative project involving our 10 dancers + 1 Trey and 35-plus local artists for the third year in a row.

10+1 Pt. 3 from TMP Video on Vimeo.

Earlier this year Trey asked each participating artist to create work in their own medium somehow inspired by TMP, they were allowed access to photos, rehearsals, allowed to ask for information or interview the dancers and or Trey, and the results are astounding! The participating artists represent the full spectrum of experience--from those who are highly established both in and outside of Boise--to those who this is their very first public show.

On December 9 we opened our doors and invited the general public inside our studio and headquarters which have been transformed into an interactive gallery and marketplace for the grand exhibition, which will remain open to the public both physically and online leading up to the holidays. The artwork is priced everywhere from thousands of dollars to $5, and TMP splits the proceeds of all sold work with the artist.

The project brings together people from all corners of Boise, fans of TMP, fans of the participating artists, and people searching out the best event in town. Last year's event drew over 700 people in four hours, to look and buy artwork while sipping wine and or beer, and interacting with the artists and dancers.

This year TMP partnered with Boise Weekly (Idaho's only alternative weekly newspaper) for both this event and their Annual Cover Auction, the advertising and editorial coverage brought on by this partnership helped to generate a great buzz around the main event.
