Gore Park is surrounded by arts organizations doing incredible work. However, the park also counts among its neighbors talented and nationally respected builders and architects. Two of these firms have joined the project as the design/build team, offering some services pro bono.

Garden City Construction is well known for their focus on green building and a passion for San Jose and its history. The company is led by Jim Salata, and their projects range from retail and restaurants to complex historic preservation projects.

Steinberg Architects is a third-generation architecture, planning, and interior design firm that has been a Silicon Valley leader for more than 50 years, on projects throughout the United States and Asia. Their local work includes the new north concourse at the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport, the Tech Museum of Innovation and San Jose's city hall, among other projects.

With a close connection to the park and excitement about its potential as a destination and gateway for the SoFA district, the design/build team will work quickly to finalize a design in the next two months.
