Throughout the summit, sessions will run in three formats – plenaries, breakouts, and seminars – each providing a different learning opportunity.

PLENARIES
Ideas and Inspiration
Organized around pressing community development topics, and exploring the interdependence between sectors, our all-star panelists drawn from across the country will address key issues in the field and how the arts can support greater impact.

BREAKOUTS
Tools and Techniques
Designed to supply practical tools on specific issues, choose your own adventure based on the skills you want to gain. Breakouts will include hands-on sessions on managing conflict, community engaged design, storytelling, fundraising, effective partnerships, measuring community outcomes, making the case for arts, and successfully incorporating equitable strategies into your work, to name a few.

SEMINARS
Connect and Reflect
The Aspen Institute Executive Leadership Seminars use moderated, text-based dialogue to allow leaders from all sectors to step back from day-to-day concerns and reflect more generally on the core values by which they lead. What do we believe, and why do we believe it? Why do we do what we do? What does a good society look like, and what is our role in helping create it? Aspen Institute Executive Leadership has crafted a special program for the ArtPlace Summit with the aim of deepening our reflection, synthesizing what we learn in other sessions, and strengthening the connections among us.
