The dynamic and acclaimed "makerspace," the Columbus Idea Foundry, has become a partner and anchor tenant in the partially renovated neighborhood warehouse in Franklinton. With neighbors consisting of the Center of Science and Industry museum and a burgeoning arts collective, the Idea Foundry will complete an innovation triangle in Franklinton that blends the arts, the sciences and enterprise.  The Idea Foundry is now adding 10 members/month vs. 1/month in it's old location and activated the sidewalks in Franklinton with many events like open houses, "Maker Date Night", and even a large fashion show. The Franklinton Development Association continues to leverage the energy and attraction of the Idea Foundry to bring more investment in Franklinton.  Several business have now opened in the area since the arrival of the Idea Foundry.  The FDA now has a waiting list for its affordable homes!
