Community members from Café Vida and Seed spent an incredible weekend with Rishi Kumar of The Growing Home at the 'Herbs that Heal' workshop. They took a tour and tasted the herbs, plants, and vegetables growing in the space and then learned how to prepare and work with herbs that have medicinal value.

Eric Owen Moss, SCI-Arc Director, speaks with Marcelyn Gow, SCI-Arc faculty member, during a recent exhibition discussion in the SCI-Arc Gallery. Moss first taught at SCI-Arc in 1974 and was appointed Director in 2002. He is the recipient of more than 100 design awards, including the Academy Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Jencks Award by the Royal Institute of British Architects, and the AIA│LA 25 Year Award for the Petal House, a residence in West Los Angeles. He recently served on the review panel for the 6th Street Bridge Design Competition, organized by the Office of the Mayor of Los Angeles.
