ZERO1 says things get interesting where disciplines rub up against each other.

This idea is central to what we do at ZER01. We’re a Silicon Valley-based arts nonprofit, and the intersection of art and technology is the sandbox we play in.

We’ve been around for just over a decade, but we began playing on the national and international stage with the launch of our ZER01 Biennial in 2006.  In three iterations, 100,000+ attendees have enjoyed artworks – including 80 original commissions – by 500 artists from 50 countries, we’ve injected $20 million into the local economy and built a vast network of cultural partners regionally, nationally, and internationally to help us create this mammoth program.

Besides the Biennial, we create research-based artist residencies, produce salons and lectures, and we’re launching a corporate cultural think tank where creative risk-takers can interact, engage, and change the world.

In a nutshell is all adds up to the fact that ZER01 is creating a sense of place for Silicon Valley that galvanizes the community through collaboration and partnerships not otherwise possible.

Since a picture’s worth a thousand words, check out the following videos to get a sense of our sandbox.
